How to export a large amount of images
Let’s say you want to export a million images using the following query:
First, select only a few rows from the query. Since we are using a SQL Server database, we use the TOP option.
SQL Image Viewer displays the results of the query. We then check that this is the result set we want.
Then, start the Export Items Wizard, and on the first page, select the Use result set from this query item and enter the
query that returns all the rows you want to export.
Select the options you want on the following pages. You can use the earlier result set to set up the naming convention
for the image files. In this case, we want to name the files using the Name column, followed by the column number.
SQL Image Viewer then exports all the images retrieved using the query you entered. It does not need to hold all the
million rows in memory before exporting them. Instead, it retrieves the images in batches, and this allows it to export an
unlimited number of images.
