Say you have a collection of tens of thousands of DICOM images of different modalities from various sources, and you wanted to search for all CR and DX chest images referred by a specific physician? Can you do that easily using your existing tools?In Easy DICOM Search, you simply enter the following to search for your images:It’s that easy. For the commonly used tags, you can use descriptive names like BodyPartExamined and Modality. For the less commonly-used tags, simply enter the group and element combination e.g. Image.Tag(‘0008.0090’) for physician name.You can search for any top level DICOM tag value this way. Search for single values, multiple values, numbers, dates - Easy DICOM Search helps you perform your search.Your search criteria can also include file attributes e.g.If you need help with writing the search criteria, we include a Tags Assist function to help you write the values.
Working with your search results
In our example, the above search returns the following search results:Easy DICOM Search doesn’t just return the list of files, it includes the values of the search criterias used, and a preview of the currently selected file.The files are displayed in an Explorer-like listing, giving you the same options you would see in Windows Explorer:
Exporting your search results
You can now export just the file names, or all the displayed details, to the clipboard or to a CSV file. You can also export all the images’ tag values to an Excel file:Say you want to work with the images using your regular DICOM software. Easy DICOM Search helps you group and copy those files to another folder easily.
Persistent search results
You can recall your search results any time using the Search History browser.You can simply reopen the search results, or perform a new search using the same parameters if you have added new files to your collection.
