Exporting images from the search results

When DICOM Search has returned your search results, you can copy the source images to another folder for later use. For e.g. you have a collection of 10000 DICOM images. You then search for MR knee images for female patients aged between 50 and 55. Say DICOM Search returns 50 rows. You can then choose to copy those 50 images from your collection to another folder, so that you can analyze these 50 images of interest using your DICOM viewer. To copy the search results images, click on the Copy images button on the Data set page. This brings up the Copy Images window. Enter the folder to copy the images to. You can also convert the images to another format. Let’s convert the images to the png format, and set it’s maximum width to 960 pixels and height to 800 pixels. DICOM Search will maintain the aspect ratio when resizing the image. Let’s also add a gray border around our image of 80 pixels each side. Your settings should then look like the above screenshot. On the next page, we can choose to embed information profile details into our exported images. Let’s embed the Tutorial profile we created earlier. Click Next to start the copying process. Our exported images have now been converted to png images, with a gray border and displays DICOM values using the Tutorial profile information profile e.g. Do experiment with the various settings to customize the appearance of the exported images. Next, we show you how to create a HTML slideshow using the images from the search results.
