Low memory usage
Where possible, SQL Image Viewer retrieves your images/files in
batches, exports them, and retrieves the next batch. It does not
retrieve the entire data set into memory before exporting it. It simply
excels at exporting large quantities of images/files this way.
View and export images and
files stored in your database
SQL Image Viewer. Used by Samsung, Sony, Siemens, and many more.
Your images returned as textual binary data in your database IDE
The same query results in SQL Image Viewer
Your files returned as textual binary data in your database IDE
SQL Image Viewer displays the file type for the same query results.
View images as part of your result sets
Run your query, and SQL Image Viewer will display all the images in
your result set. SQL Image Viewer can automatically recognise and
display bitmap, jpeg, gif, png, tiff, DICOM, and Photoshop images.
Quickly identify the type of files in your database
Run your query to retrieve files stored in your database, and SQL
Image Viewer will display the file type in your result set. The pdf, zip,
rar, 7z, unprotected Microsoft Office files (doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt,
pptx), html, xml, mp3, wav, 7z, bz2, gz formats are supported.
No helper columns required
SQL Image Viewer reads the binary data, and determines the image or
file type itself. You do not need to provide any data to help it
recognise images or file types. Useful when you do not know exactly
what has been stored in your database.
Export images and files to disk
SQL Image Viewer can save all your images and files to disk, or only
the types you specify. In addition, it can convert images to other
formats, and also perform some simple image processing functions.
Extract files embedded in OLE Packages
(Professional Edition required)
If you have files that were stored in your database using Office front-
end applications, you know that it is near impossible to retrieve the
original files once they have been wrapped in an OLE Package. SQL
Image Viewer easily identifies and extract files from OLE Packages for
Connects to most popular database servers
SQL Image Viewer supports SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Firebird,
and SQLite databases directly. In addition, it can connect to other
database servers via ODBC drivers e.g. PostgreSQL and DB2.
and so much more ...
including inspection of images and binary data, configurable image
processing functions, dynamic memory monitoring, non-blocking SQL
execution, listing of image EXIF properties, and auto-discovery of
tables containing blob data.
Schedule jobs to export images/files
(Professional Edition required)
Save your export settings to a file, and use the SQL Image Viewer
command line interface to export the images/files using those settings.
Your settings can include dynamic SQL values, so you export only new
and/or modified items.
